Abstract
Introduction and Objective: With the expansion of modern educational technologies, Learning Management Systems (LMS) have become one of the key tools in enhancing the quality of the educational process. Among these, the role of educational media and instructional strategies within such systems is of particular importance, as they play a significant role in the effectiveness of learning and in creating a meaningful experience for learners. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the level of application of educational media and instructional strategies in Learning Management Systems in Tehran.
Methods: This research employed a descriptive method. The statistical population included all specialists, designers, and developers of Learning Management Systems in Tehran, totaling 700 individuals. According to Krejcie and Morgan’s table, a sample size of 248 participants was determined using cluster random sampling. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. For data analysis, a one-sample t-test was used.
Findings: The results indicated that since the calculated t-values for the variables of educational media (t = 21.785) and instructional strategies (t = 5.560) were greater than the critical table value (t = 1.64), the status of both educational media and instructional strategies in Learning Management Systems was evaluated as favorable.
Conclusion: Overall, the findings show that the existing technological infrastructure has not only provided the possibility of using various educational media but has also been relatively successful in applying diverse instructional strategies. In general, it can be concluded that the current status of Learning Management Systems in Tehran, in terms of the studied elements, is appropriate and effective, and the necessary capacity for further reinforcement and development exists to improve the quality of e-learning.
